FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD
Three new eateries you must try in Glasgow
Glasgow is forever giving us more when it comes to food and drink, in the last month alone, around fifteen new food joints have been on peoples lips… and some of them are yet to even open!
From pizza to pancakes, mac and cheese to Mexican, Glasgow is a food haven for some.
Glasgow Living have hand picked three must try locations for food across Glasgow, in no particular order, here goes:
It’s NYC meets… Great Western Road? NYC Express brings the taste of the big apple and gives it a global feel factor with its customisable macaroni cheese.
The macaroni cheese on it’s on is delicious, but the array of additions you can add to your lunch time treat makes it extremely difficult to have plain.
Beef, pork, veggie haggis, mozzarella, pesto and anything else you can think of!
NYC Express also offer hot dogs, vegan dogs and vegan options to the mac and cheese. If you’re vegan then you’re in for a treat with the ‘Vegan Chilli Baby’ … if you’re not you’ve got to give it a try! While you’re there you can even curb your sugar cravings with one of their incredible milkshakes.
Stack and Still Silverburn
Ok, technically Stack and Still isn’t really new, but the city centre branch has been a hit since it opened in 2018.
The new branch, inside Silverburn Shopping Centre, boasts stacks and stacks of savoury and sweet options, just like the city centre branch… but if you’re from the south-side you’ve just got a little less to travel.
If you’re thinking that pancakes for dinner or lunch isn’t the right option… think again. Imagine a savoury pancake for main followed up with a Nutella pancake for dessert. Get in about it.
Banh Mi & Tea
So we’re maybe jumping the gun here since this spot is yet to open, but Vietnamese street food in Partick? Surely it’s a winner!
Banh Mi & Tea is promising to delivery authentic Vietnamese fast food, need I say more? Banh mi (Vietnamese for filled sandwich, thanks Google Translate) is often spicy pork and shredded carrot in some form, typical a sandwich; this makes us think that this could be their signature sandwich, let’s hope so!
The new food spot is close by to the train station and will be offering bubble teas, Vietnamese BBQ plus traditional tea and coffee, making it a soon to be hit for lunch in the area.
