Experience something different with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Glasgow Green

One of Glasgow’s most loved music events returns to Glasgow Green in September, and you can still grab tickets.

The world-class BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Bell, takes centre stage. They’ll be performing classical pieces, traditional Scottish reels and some well-known world favourites that everyone can enjoy.

We know the orchestra isn’t for everyone, but this is a night to unwind with musical talent, several special guests and the beauty of Glasgow’s famous riverside park. The list of special guests is set to bring a range of performances for an evening of magical music. Special guests include the renowned comedian, Jason Manford, who will be performing three songs on the evening – indeed something different.

If you’re looking to soak up some culture and experience something new, then this is the highlight of the calendar for doing just that; experience Scottish talent in the heart of Glasgow. Naturally, being a festival in Glasgow Green, the event is licensed, hosting various bars across the park for you to grab a refreshment. Plus, the event is also set to be live on both TV and radio, so there is also a chance you could find your fifteen minutes of fame.

Proms in the Park is part of the annual climax of two months of music-making at the BBC Proms. The Last Night celebrations are world-famous, drawing attention from across the globe as all four nations contribute to the finale. Several live shows will take place in London, Belfast, Glasgow and Swansea, and you could be part of that unique experience that closes BBC Proms 2019.
