Remember, remember the 5th of November – celebrate Bonfire Night at Glasgow Green.

Glasgow Green Bonfire Night

Once again the people of Glasgow come together to celebrate Bonfire night in style, in the beautiful surroundings of Glasgow Green. The stunning park views of the People’s Palace and Winter Gardens here should not be missed by anyone visiting the city centre. And if you get there early enough on Tuesday, you can also enjoy entertainment, food, drink and more from 5pm. It truly is fun for all the family this Guy Fawkes!

Glasgow Green Bonfire Night Funfair

The main event begins at 7.30pm, where the skies will be lit up with colour and sparkle in true festive fashion. The night doesn’t end there, however, as thrill seekers can enjoy funfair rides until closure at 9.30pm. Alternatively, our friends at BAaD are throwing both a warm-up party and after-party celebrations just a two minute walk from the park! This could be a perfect place to both start, and end, your night.Glasgow Green Map

Those who have attended the highly-anticipated celebrations here before will know it is always a fantastic night at the Green. The park hosts not only Bonfire Night celebrations, but charity runs and festivals – read about one such event here. As well as this, at just a stone’s throw from the city centre it is easily accessible by both car and public transport. However, we do recommend that if you are travelling from further afield you leave in plenty of time. Make sure you dont miss the show!

We expect it to be a cold one, so please remember to wrap up warm. And if you are celebrating Bonfire Night at home or elsewhere, please always use fireworks safely and sensibly. This also includes respecting a curfew of 11pm, and especially ensuring our small and furry friends are not put in any danger.
