We all know Glasgow has a great selection of places to get a drink, from the top of town to the bottom, but did you know Glasgow also has a wide selection of places to get a lovely spot of afternoon tea? This British tradition has grown in popularity over the past few years and has become a fun and quirky way to spend your afternoon with friends and family! We’ve put together a list of some of the best places for afternoon tea in the city…

Chez Mal

The iconic Chez Mal Brasserie officially landed at the Malmaison hotel in Glasgow last month! The eatery, now the ninth Chez Mal in the UK, offers guests a mix of contemporary-styled dishes, so foodies can most certainly look forward to menus bursting with bold flavours, fine ingredients and complemented, of course, with a line-up of chilled craft beers, crisp wines, crafty cocktails and bubbly champagnes. With its glittering domed ceilings and relaxed brasserie-style service, Chez Mal is truly a step up from the usual restaurant fare. Get together for an indulgent afternoon tea at Malmaison. Choose a classic cream tea or the full afternoon tea, then add a cocktail or Champagne and relax for the rest of the afternoon. The GlasgowLiving team were lucky enough to be invited along for a sneak peek behind the scenes at what Chez Mal had to offer.
