Etsy Made Local Christmas Market
If you love local sellers and beautiful, hand crafted products we have just the event for you – Etsy Made Local Christmas Market comes to Glasgow at the end of the month!
Etsy Made Local Christmas Market can be found at the Briggait in the city centre on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December, from 11am-4.30pm. There will be 68 different designers and makers in attendance every day, showcasing beautiful items. From ceramics to jewellery, as well as cards and paintings, you’ll find whatever you are looking for here. We think the items on show will make perfect Christmas gifts for the loved ones in your life. Mums and grannies especially would appreciate the thoughtfulness of a handmade item just for them, even if you didn’t make it yourself.
Some of the sellers on show here make a living from selling their goods, and others just create in their spare time. However, all of them are talented and hardworking, and masters of their craft. We love buying local items here at Glasgow Living. We truly believe it is important to buy local and support your local communities and economies. After all, ‘when you support a small business you are supporting a dream’.
The Etsy Made Local Christmas Markets are coming to The Briggait as part of a UK-wide event, held in five locations. These include Newcastle, Oxford and Bristol, as well as Glasgow of course. We imagine the event will be similar to other Christmas Markets, however probably without the bratwurst.
Why not come along and have a look at what is on offer? It’s a lovely way to spend your weekend, and everybody is welcome – bring the kids for some quality Christmas time! Also, if you’d like to do more Christmas activities with your young ones, friends or partner, you can find inspiration here, here and here.
